Is August really starting tomorrow?! It seems like just a few days ago the kids were getting out of school for summer break and now they are already getting prepared to start a new year! Also is this really August weather? Mid 80's this week? Yes please!
With summer winding down there are still a lot more community events happening, the weekends and week evenings are still full! This week alone is going to be a BUSY one! Tomorrow you can catch us a with a Catch and Release the Duck Game at National Night Out in Old Town, Wednesday we have our Monthly Power Lunch with a FABULOUS Speaker and then Friday we will be at the Grand Opening for The Farmers Marketplace before heading out to Downtown's Friday Night Out.
If you haven't heard yet, we added a FUN new event this year, Release the Quackin! We will be dropping 2000 rubber ducks from a helicopter into GREAT prize buckets. So far we have some amazing prizes, $2500 cash, over $1000 worth of jewelry from Roper's Jewelers, $250+ Gift Card from Old Town Pizza, $100 gift card from ARD, Bread for a Year from The Baker & The Cakemaker and gift Cards from Local Heroes, Tango, The Silver Store, Old Town Hobby and El Agave. If you have a prize you would like to donate just let us know!

Farmers Marketplace Grand Opening
It's happening! Join us for the Grand Opening of our Community Grocery Store & Gathering Space in downtown Auburn. Family Friendly Farms will be BBQing while Jasmine Bailey brings her soulful vibe to kickoff our first of many events that will bring us together as a thriving local fooding community!
Enjoy a nice BBQ dinner with beef, pork and veggie options from Grill Masters Zach & Keller of Family Friendly Farms, whose meats are all raised using regenerative practices adorned with some savory sides made with locally sourced, organic ingredients, prepared by Chef Darby of Rebel Hen Cafe.

Friday Night Out, Downtown Auburn, Aug 4th
The first Friday of the month Local Artists & Businesses will be popping up all over Downtown Auburn for an evening of Music, Art & Fun!
Come join us for this fun and free event!
Friday Night Out will be the first Friday of the month and running June-November.
All American Rib Cook-Off, August 12th
The event will feature 20 competing teams vying for the People’s Choice bragging rights, Best Judged Ribs Title, and trophies. Attendees will enjoy craft beers, a full bar, multiple bands/live music, a fun kid’s zone, and more.
There is no admission fee to the event. A rib-tasting experience and a VIP experience can be purchased. VIP experiences are very limited and include a premier, designated area with seating, shade, private bar, side dish service at your table, swag, and more. There will be other foods for sale and a kid’s zone with activities. You may bring your own chairs, blankets; no outside food or drink allowed.
The 2023 All-American Rib Cookoff will benefit several nonprofit charities including Crime Victims United, ARD Youth Assistance, Placer County Sheriffs Explorers Program, Gold Country Young Life, William Jessup University, Parkside Youth Group, and Placer County Animal Services.
