Celebrate the Great Backyard Bird Count weekend at the 9th annual Bird Fest!

Join us on Saturday, February 15th from 10 AM-2 PM at the Burien Community Center! Bird Fest offers families, friends and neighbors an opportunity to learn about their local birds and plants while participating in the annual Great Backyard Bird Count.

10:30 AM -11:15 AM Bird Walk

11:30 AM -12:30 PM Owls in Seattle and Beyond with Ed Dominguez

11:30 AM -12:15 PM Bird Walk

11:45 AM -12:15 PM Family Nature Walk (geared toward ages 2-8)

12:30 PM -1:15 PM Bird Walk

12:45 PM -1:45 PM American Dippers with Dan Streiffert

12:45 PM -1:15 PM Family Bird Walk (geared toward ages 8-13)

The Environmental Science Center has coordinated Bird Fest with sponsorship from the City of Burien to spread awareness on watershed health through creating native habitat for birds.
