BOULDER, CO -- Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) is excited to announce the Spring 2025 Exhibition, Dazzle of Darkness: The Redemption of the Shadow, opening on January 23, 2025. This exhibition reveals darkness as a force of balance, transformation, and connection. Thirty-one artists explore its mysteries — ecological, cosmic, and spiritual — inviting visitors to embrace its creative, vital power. It is guest curated by Rebecca DiDomenico.

This exhibition showcases artists who have illuminated darkness, each in their own way. Their methods range from storytelling to scientific experimentation to play on form. Whereas forces of light and dark are often simplified and polarized to maintain a limited perception of a dualistic world, these works expose this false dichotomy and challenge the one-dimensional reality we have been conditioned to accept.
