The East Bay Regional Parks District has been working hard to get all East Bay parks cleaned up and back in shape after all the recent storms and were recently able to partially reopen Del Valle. 

They have not, unfortunately, been able to complete all repairs and have determined that the trails there will still be too unsafe for the 3/18/23 Badger Cove event to take place there. 

To allow the event to still happen, they have made another park available: Coyote Hills in Fremont (staging out of the Dumbarton Quarry Campground area).

New race address for Badger Cove 2023 is 9400 Quarry Rd, Fremont, CA 94555.

This has been a very tough winter for trail events (lots of cancellations, modifications and location changes for Bay Area races) and we appreciate the understanding in dealing with these unusual events that are out of our control.

The good news is that the current forecast shows much better weather than what we are currently seeing and Coyote Hills is a beautiful park with fantastic views. It will also be FAR less muddy at Coyote Hills.

For those participating in the Badger Cove half marathon as part of the Ultra Half Series, this half marathon will still be counted as a race done.  And anyone who wants to get an "easier" Ultra Half Series race done still has a chance to sign up and do that.

Race start times for the new location will be:

Half Marathon Hikers: 7:30
Half marathon: 8:30
10K: 8:45
5K: 9:00
