Art show deadline Wednesday, February 1!

The Smithsonian traveling exhibit Crossroads: Change in Rural America arrives in Sheffield on Sunday, March 26 and will be on view in the Bushnell-Sage Library program room through Saturday, May 6.

Let’s show off the incredible artists we have in Berkshire County! We’re looking for submissions for “Rural Berkshires: Always Adapting,” a juried art show hosted at Dewey Memorial Hall (adult exhibition) and Bushnell-Sage Library (youth exhibition) April 14 - 28.

Eligible Artwork: 2-D artwork in any medium. Art should be no bigger than 24"x24" or 20"x24"; that is a total of 96 linear inches measured around the work. All art must be original, not mass produced, and created in the last 2 years. It should be ready to hang and not exceed 20lbs.

The featured artist for the month of February at Bushnell, Sage library is local artist Anthony Nordoff. Come visit the library to see this acclaimed artist's intriguing work.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 3 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Join us for a five session series of gentle/moderate Kripalu Yoga, Saturdays at 10:15 a.m. beginning February 4.

Accessible to any level of experience or fitness. Generous modifications offered. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket.

Enjoy the benefits of attending all sessions in the series, but drop-ins are welcome.

Donation based, $10 suggested with 20% of any proceeds donated to the library to support future programming.

Bushnell-Sage Library is pleased to join the Berkshire Domestic & Sexual Violence Task Force’s One Book, One Community read of Assume Nothing: A Story of Intimate Violence by Tanya Selvaratnam.

Our February BSL Book Club will be an in-person discussion meeting Tuesday, February 28 at 5:00 p.m.

One Book, One Community book discussion groups will take place throughout the Berkshires between October 2022 and April 2023 and culminate in a community webinar featuring author Tanya Selvaratnam from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on April 13, 2023, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. LEGO® Construction Zone - Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

This session of LEGO® Construction Zone will run from February 9 - May 25.

LEGO® Construction Zone is for grades K-8

Kids under 12 must have a parent or guardian on library premises. Kids under 6 must have a parent or guardian stay with them for the duration of the program.

Let's brighten up winter with some sun burst collages!

We'll be painting, cutting and snipping, and glueing to create big bright suns with creative faces Wednesday, February 15 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

This program is best for children ages 5 and up. Younger children are welcome, but will require adult assistance. Children under 6 require a guardian to remain with them for the duration of the program. Children under 12 require a guardian to remain in the library for the duration of the program.
