Summer Reading is here!

At this time of year, public librarians all across the US eat, sleep, and breath all things Summer Reading. And Cabarrus County Librarians are no different! This year the national theme is All Together Now, and we have a program lineup jam-packed with themes of family, community, and togetherness.

CCPL's Summer Reading Program runs from June 1 to August 31, and will be hosted virtually on the Beanstack website and app, just like last year. And just like some of the previous challenges we've hosted this year, we have an awesome bingo-style challenge! Complete 5 badges in a row to bingo and win a prize—you can go across, down, or diagonal.

Each square will require you to log reading or complete activities; if bingo is too easy, finish the whole card and win an additional prize! A list of full descriptions and activity ideas are available on paper reading logs—to earn an activity bingo square, check off 2 of the options on the list of suggested activities. For more options, check out the challenge in the app.

The prizes.

Kids will win the ever popular free book upon bingo, but this year for the teen and adult age groups we will be awarding raffle tickets that our readers can put toward a variety of incredible prize baskets. Getting a bingo will earn 5 raffle tickets, and completing the entire square will earn ?25? raffle tickets! These tickets can be put toward one basket, or split up and go toward as many different baskets as the reader desired. Check below for a sneak peek of the prizes, but full pictures and descriptions of each basket will be available in the Beanstack app.
