Lumberjack sports have a long history in West Virginia. From the days of the logging camps at the turn of the century, to the fast paced mechanized age, West Virginia has had and continues to produce several World Champion Lumberjacks.

West Virginia alone enjoys a populace that supplies over 50 competitive lumberjacks who compete at Fairs and Festivals throughout, not only West Virginia, but also the world.
