Celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, with an evening of food, music, dance, and activities! Learn how different regions celebrate this Hindu holiday, create crafts to take home, and see the museum lit up once the sun goes down

Enjoy cuisine from the Indian diaspora Local food vendors include Rasa, Himalayan Soul Food, Apna Pizza, Swaadish by Neelma, Milaap Chai, and Malai Ice Cream

5 - 9 pm: Crafts

Decorate a rangoli with Kulture Khazana (Gallery 27, level B1)
Create a woodblock print with artist Trisha Gupta (ImaginAsia Studio, level B2)

11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Diwali Family Fun

Bring the whole family to celebrate Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. In the ImaginAsia classroom, make crafts related to light, and learn about the conservation of light-sensitive objects. Listen to stories and sketch in the South Asian galleries.
