Learn to make paint by smashing rocks!

Ever wonder where paint comes from? Earth pigments are made from crushed rocks or colored muds. In this class, students will pick up colored rocks on the beach, then smash and grind them so they are fine enough to mix with a medium, making a paint. Meet at the stairs to the beach.

Kick off ArtFest 2024 with a parade on Main Street!

On Saturday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m. we invite you to join us in lining up at the yellow building on Main St. (across from Thor’s Fitness) to flaunt your creative impulses. Large puppets, beautiful beaded regalia, newly completed paddles, dressed up animals, actors in costume, woodworking projects and music. All artists and community members. are invited to join a colorful parade to wrap up the two weeks of ArtFest fun. Come and help promote the ArtFest activities and workshops as well as enjoy showing the community your skill.
