From: City Of BoerneWho’s ready to hit the road for an epic Texas Hill Country adventure? The latest and greatest Texas Hill Country Trail Passport has launched and is available to be picked up for free in dozens of locations across the region. It’s a great activity to augment your existing plans or a motivator to get you out and about to explore heritage locations in your backyard that you may have missed.
Here’s the skinny: Pick up a copy here at the Boerne Visitors Center, or at any other participating location, or place an order via e-mail ([email protected]) to have one mailed to you. The latter is particularly helpful if you’re charting out your vacation itinerary in advance and don’t want to miss a thing. Sites include places like historic sites, attractions, and destinations along the trail. Once your passport is in hand and you’re on the road, collect your stamps in each participating location that you visit. Many communities have multiple stops in the passport. For example, here in Boerne, you can procure a stamp at the Boerne Visitors Center (282 N. Main Street) and the Cave Without A Name (325 Kreutzberg Road). Once you have a minimum of 24 stamps, mail your passport in to be verified, and it will be returned as a keepsake with a prize. Folks who have completed their passports will also be entered into a quarterly drawing to win a weekend getaway in the Texas Hill Country.
This is the third edition of the Texas Hill Country Trail Passport, and we regularly have guests come into the Boerne Visitors Center and tell us how much they enjoy making memories while collecting their stamps as they venture out on their individual adventures around the state.
