Neighborhood Meeting: Fire Station #5 - TONIGHT!
Thursday, February 23, 2023 | 6 pm

Join the City of Coppell for a meeting to discuss preliminary plans to construct an additional fire station in Coppell at 157 S. Moore Road, next to Austin Elementary. The addition of Fire Station #5 will help the Coppell Fire Department safeguard the lives and property of residents while maintaining service standards.
S. Belt Line Road Closure - POSTPONED
UPDATE: The planned DART installation of bridge beams that would have led to overnight closures on S. Belt Line Rd. on February 24 has been POSTPONED. The new installation date will be announced once it is available.

Refuse Rates Correction
The City of Coppell has been made aware that some residents may have received outdated refuse collection rate information in the newsletter mailed along with their utility bill. On January 1, 2023, refuse rates increased slightly per the City’s contract with Republic Services. The correct monthly refuse rate for residential customers is $18.77 plus $1.55 in sales tax and a $0.10 public education fee. The current refuse rate for residents who receive the senior discount is $16.89 per month, plus $1.39 in sales tax and a $0.10 public education fee.

DFW Airport Runway Rehabilitation
The City of Coppell has been notified by DFW Airport that rehabilitation work has begun on some runways that could affect air traffic over Coppell. The work is expected to occur through March 6, 2023. Surrounding communities may experience a minor increase in noise within their neighborhoods from the effects of the change in operations during the closure.
