From: City Of Del MarThe Board of Directors of the Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) is holding a public hearing to consider a rate adjustment during its regular board meeting 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, on Zoom.
The CEA provides electricity from renewable sources to customers in Del Mar, Carlsbad, Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos, Solana Beach and Vista.
The rate increases will continue to provide sufficient revenue to cover CEA costs while providing savings to Del Mar customers compared to SDG&E’s rates. The CEA’s proposed increases are tied to rising electricity prices driven by spikes in natural gas prices and power supply shortages resulting from drought conditions and heat waves in September.
If approved, the rates will become effective Feb. 1, 2023.
To provide input, join the Zoom meeting.
