You are invited to the City of Delray Beach’s 2023 St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, a traditional day of celebration with floats, marching bands, dancers, veterans, first responders, food, live music, family-friendly activities and more. Leading the parade down East Atlantic Avenue on March 11 will be local World War II veterans, who were chosen to be the parade’s grand marshals for their collective contribution to the United States of America.

The parade is from noon to 2 p.m. Participants will head west on East Atlantic Avenue from the Intracoastal bridge to Northwest/Southwest 5th Avenue. Atlantic Avenue will be closed to traffic from A1A to Northwest/Southwest 8th Avenue from about 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The St. Patrick’s Day Festival runs from 1 -7 p.m. at Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Avenue.  Live entertainment highlighted by traditional Irish dancers Tir na Greine, the Roaring Kelly Band, the Glengarry Bhoys and the U2 tribute band Vertigo.  The fun continues with food trucks and Irish beverages, the ancient Celtic sport of axe throwing, a Children’s Zone with face painting, giant inflatable games, arts and crafts and merchandise vendors.
