The Killeen fire department personnel are currently on the scene of a brushfire in the field area that all of the housing units are surrounding in the area of Hercules Avenue and Gemini Lane. 

The fire is contained, and crews will be out working until at least 7p.m. or 8p.m. completing mop up.

Please avoid the area, as Public Safety crews work the fire.

No structures are damaged at this time, and firefighters are working hard to keep homes safe.
