City of Napa Economic Development Newsletter - January 2023

Hello,

Happy new year, and welcome back to Napa’s monthly Economic Development newsletter!

January often provides a space to reflect upon the last year and set goals for the year ahead. With 2023 underway, I encourage you to prioritize sustainability and start the new year green! As the effects of climate change infiltrate Napa, it has never been more important to practice habits that help the City reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize urban heat islands and strive toward a zero-carbon footprint.

As reflected in Chapter 6 of the General Plan: Climate Change and Sustainability Element, climate change remains a key priority in Napa, and the City plans to set goals and policies to reduce its severity. In this edition of our newsletter, you will learn more about local small business leaders who are paving the way in sustainability as well as resources to help you live a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle.

In your individual efforts to combat climate change, remember that your actions also help the community at large. Thank you for doing your part to ensure Napa remains the best place to live, work and play!

Cheers to a new, greener year!
