OLDSMAR, FL – (January 23, 2023) – The Forward Pinellas Board has appointed Oldsmar Vice-Mayor Jarrod Buchman to serve as its representative for the cities of Safety Harbor, Tarpon Springs, and Oldsmar.

The Forward Pinellas Board comprises 13 elected officials representing municipal governments, the Board of County Commissioners, and the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. The Forward Pinellas agency addresses countywide land use and transportation concerns, as both the Pinellas Planning Council and Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization. Additionally, it assists with technical support, regional coordination, policy advice and guidance to Pinellas County's 24 cities and unincorporated areas.

"I am honored to represent the cities of Oldsmar, Safety Harbor, and Tarpon Springs as a member of the Forward Pinellas Board," stated Vice-Mayor Buchman. "Planning and transportation are vital to providing solutions that connect our communities with the Tampa Bay region."

The Oldsmar City Council officially appointed Vice-Mayor Buchman during its November 15, 2022, meeting. He was elected to office in March 2022, serving his first term on Oldsmar City Council at Seat 2.
