The unknown male informed the resident that their household water was going to be shut off due to non-payment of a bill.  The unknown male also asked for personally identifying information including a credit card number for payment.

It is important to understand that the City of Plainview Water Utility Department will NEVER solicit your credit card information, and that our billing clerks are prohibited from accepting payment over the phone.
