Street Restrictions
Several Tempe streets will be closed or restricted for the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade Dec. 9-12. The following street restrictions and closures have been identified; however, others could be put in place to address public safety concerns that occur during the event.
Dec. 9, from 7 a.m. until Dec. 12 at 6 a.m.:
- Eastbound Rio Salado Parkway closed between Hardy Drive and Mill Avenue.
- Westbound Rio Salado Parkway closed between Mill Avenue and Lakeside Drive.
- Southbound Mill Avenue closed between Curry Road and Rio Salado Parkway.
- Northbound Ash Avenue closed at Third Street.
- Eastbound First Street closed at Rio Salado Parkway.

Transit Impacts
The following impacts have been identified; however, others could be put in place to address public safety concerns that occur during the event. Please note, buses traveling in downtown Tempe may experience delays due to traffic.
Dec. 9, from beginning of service to Dec. 11 end of service:
- Streetcar: during the event, Streetcar service may be temporarily impacted.
- 48 Northbound: Regular route to Rio Salado Pkwy./Hardy Dr., south on Hardy Dr. to University Dr., east on University Dr. to Ash Ave., north on Ash Ave. to 5th St., east on 5th St. to resume regular route.
- 48 Southbound: Regular route to 5th St./Ash Ave.; south on Ash Ave. to University Dr., west on University Dr. to Hardy Dr., north on Hardy Dr. to Rio Salado Pkwy., west on Rio Salado Pkwy. to resume regular route.
- 62 Northbound: Regular route to Hardy Dr./University Dr., east on University Dr. to Ash Ave., north on Ash Ave. to 5th St., east on 5th St. to resume regular route.
- 62 Southbound: Regular route to 5th St./Ash Ave., south on Ash Ave. to University Dr., west on University Dr. to Hardy Dr., south on Hardy Dr. to resume regular route.
