From: City of TempeVolunteers needed to help guide $1.1 million in human services funding
Join a virtual orientation Jan. 11
Volunteers are needed to help make recommendations on how roughly $1.1 million in Tempe tax dollars will be distributed for human services funding in the upcoming year. Funds support nonprofits providing vital services such as shelter and housing, crisis assistance, mental health services, youth services and more in our community.
Tempe Community Council (TCC) is seeking more than 50 community members to assist with their annual human services funding recommendation process known as Agency Review. Volunteers will review funding applications, score, prepare questions and interview agencies as part of this process. Volunteers commit to approximately 20 hours from January - March, on their own time schedule. Volunteers must be 18 and older and live or work in Tempe.
A virtual volunteer orientation and training for new volunteers will be held Jan. 11. Learn more: tempecommunitycouncil.org/agency-review/volunteer.
