From: City of TempeTempe offering significant cost savings for business live music permits
Tempe, AZ - Tempe has a long history of supporting live music. Now, the City of Tempe is helping the businesses that hire musicians by making permitting fees significantly more affordable.
Starting today, Tempe businesses may receive a deep discount on permits to host live music. The one-time fee is being reduced to $200, down from $1,671, until March 1, 2024.
By reducing the cost of the permit, it's hoped that more businesses will hire more musicians and offer more entertainment.
“Live music is part of what makes Tempe special. It contributes to our overall community atmosphere and helps make Tempe a top destination for visitors and global companies alike. Making it easier for businesses to hire musicians not only helps the business, it grows our art scene and our economy.”
