- Learn the basics of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Review information and resources for completing the FAFSA
- Receive individual assistance wherever you are in the FAFSA process
College Connect Tempe Advising Support
The College Connect Tempe team is ready to help you with all of your college and career planning questions. Meet with an experienced College Connect Tempe advisor in-person or virtually and receive free one-on-one assistance with exploring options after high school, college exploration, applications, financial aid, scholarship searches, developing your resume and more.
- Students who attend a 1:1 advising appointment or a workshop are entered for a $1,000 College Connect Scholarship sponsored by the Ramsey Social Justice Foundation.
Career Ready Tempe applications open
The Career Ready Tempe internship application is now open! The application link provides additional information and eligibility requirements. Please email [email protected] for resume and application assistance.
Benefits of the Internship program include:
- Students are paid $14/hour and work approximately 20 hours per week over a period of six weeks (120 hours from June 5- July 14).
- Each student is matched with a local business in Tempe.
- Students gain professional development skills by completing soft skills training modules and working in a professional setting with an assigned mentor.
- Opportunity for career development and exploration, networking and workplace skill building.
- Applications are open now until April 1, 2023.

Volunteers needed for Tempe FanCon
Saturday, Jan. 28, 10 a.m. 4 p.m.
Are you interested in volunteering for the Tempe Public Library's FanCon 2023? Teen volunteer positions are now open for the event. Please contact Victoria Aguilar at [email protected] or 480-350-5916 for more info. Teen volunteers will receive a catered lunch.
Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona are coming together to ensure students and families are well informed about the opportunities and resources available to attend college. They will be hosting virtual information sessions in both English and Spanish about applying, admission requirements, paying for college, and completing the FAFSA.

Be sure to get your ASU application completed and FAFSA on file by Jan. 15, ASU’s priority deadline for the FAFSA. This allows you to be considered for the most amount of aid.

Rio Salado Community College
Attention: High School Sophomores! The Rio Salado College ACE Scholarship Program deadline is approaching. Priority deadline is Dec. 16, 2022. Students who complete an application by Dec. 16 have first priority, but applications will be accepted through spring 2023.
Career Readiness Support
Arizona@Work Maricopa County Youth Services connects eligible youth ages 14-24 to a variety of job training and career services. There are free employment academies and resources for job searching, resume-writing, interviewing and more.
