Final Survey Closes Dec. 19

View the final Reid Park Master Plan concept developed with community feedback over the last eight months. Take the online survey to give input on your priorities for funding future improvements at the park. Having a park Master Plan is important to ensure that available resources are allocated e?ciently and to the items of the highest priority. As future/ongoing reinvestments in the park are made, different funding sources will be used, as appropriate, to the project. State, federal, and local grants; private and nonpro?t partnerships; and bonds are all likely sources of funding for capital improvements.

Registration Opens Dec. 10, for Winter/Spring Leisure Classes

Winter and spring leisure classes are viewable online now and registration will open on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 8 a.m. for city residents and 10 a.m. for non-city residents at EZEEreg.com. Classes offered range from beginning ballet, pottery, jewelry making, photography and more. There will be various options for both youth and adult participants. Make sure to register early to ensure a spot! 

Be sure to check out some of our new classes: 

- Beginning Jazz for ages 5-8 years old
- Beginning Ballet for ages 6-10 years old

- Beginning Yoga for ages 17 years old or older

Tucson Parks and Recreation presents the 38th annual Senior Olympic Festival. This festival is a celebration to promote fitness, health, and an active lifestyle among adults 50 years of age and older. Events include volleyball, bowling, bridge, racquetball, basketball shoot, pickleball, archery, golf, tennis, horseshoes, badminton, and so much more. Get Paid to Get Lifeguard Certified

Are you or someone you know looking for a part-time job? Tucson Parks and Recreation is hiring lifeguards to operate and maintain the safety at City pools year-round. The minimum age to be a lifeguard is 15 years old. Pay starts at $16.75/hour.

The City will pay applicants to get their Lifeguard Certification through the City’s certification path. The lifeguard class is an intense, fast-paced course, and strong swim skills are required. All applicants must pass a swim test to qualify. For more information on becoming a lifeguard or to register for the swim test, visit the website.

Ready, Set, Rec! Survey

We are looking for public feedback on the "Ready, Set, Rec!" program and how we can improve. Please take this short 3-minute survey to help us better serve the community.

On Nov. 6, 2018, City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian and bicycle safety). 2018 Parks + Connections Bond Oversight Commission Hybrid Meeting

The Tucson Delivers Program is monitored by eleven members of the public appointed to the 2018 Parks and Connections Bond Oversight Commission. Their next meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m., virtually and at 900 S. Randolph Way, Tucson, AZ, 85716.

Complete: Linden Park Walking Path

A new decomposed granite walking path at Linden Park, 300 S. Desert Ave., is complete. This path was made possible with 2018 voter-approved bond funds. Thank you, Tucson voters!
