In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival theme “Entanglements,” the Mapping Entanglements exhibition, co-curated in 2021 by ADCI faculty member Claudia Pederson and Dale Hudson (New York University Abu Dhabi), focused on five documentary projects and artists or artists’ collectives that explore the augmentation of local places to produce new environmental thinking, experiences, and insights.
Claudia will discuss the process of curating this project and the individual artists and collectives involved. Join us for a reception at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin at 6 p.m. This event is free and everyone is invited.

We are so happy Andrea was able to reschedule this event for us!
Focusing on art and society in the 19th and 20th centuries, when Japan underwent a rapid, self-imposed transition to modernity, this presentation by Visiting Scholar Andrea Horbinski examines not only the linkages between anime and manga and printmaking, but also the limits of those connections, and how the evidence for and against them has been deployed to serve larger stories about race, modernity, and culture in the Asia-Pacific and worldwide.
Join us at 5:30 p.m. for a reception. The program will begin at 6 p.m. This event is free and everyone is welcome.

Have you shared your Ulrich memories with us yet?
Our 50th anniversary is right around the corner (in 2024) and we're planning lots of great exhibitions and events to celebrate the Museum's excellence. One thing we are working on is collecting memories from folks who have been connected to the Ulrich over the years. Whether you are a present or past employee, a donor, volunteer, student, or general visitor, we'd love to hear your favorite memories of the Ulrich. We've created this webpage, which has a form on it, to help you share your stories. The memories we collect will be shared throughout our 50th anniversary celebrations and might even end up in a book we're putting together. We'd love to hear your stories.
