Constituents Continue to Ask Ciscomani "Why Are You Lying About Indefensible Cost-Cutting?"

Government and Politics

March 4, 2025

Juan Ciscomani’s embrace of DOGE, Donald Trump, and a budget that cuts Medicare spending to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans continues to be in direct opposition to the Arizonans he represents. This week they are asking, “Why are you lying about indefensible cost-cutting, which exacerbates the problems you claim to care about?”

Ciscomani’s vote for this budget impacts AZ-06 constituents access to healthcare and food:

  • 105,000 Medicaid beneficiaries are at risk of losing health care coverage.
  • Nearly 30,000 Arizona households are at risk of losing SNAP benefits.
  • 35,000 Arizonans who receive coverage under the Affordable Care Act would see their average premium go up by $640 per year — a 45% increase.

Arizonans have been asking “Where the hell is Juan Ciscomani?” and have seen that he’s just “[..] a corporate flunky taking orders from Mar-a-Lago.” They know that his “hypocrisy is like the Energizer Bunny” and rather than working for them he “consistently votes and sides with the extremists in the House. ” Juan Ciscomani has consistently left voters wondering “Who does Ciscomani represent? Tucson? Or Mar-a-Lago?” and hoping “…he gets a backbone and starts to fight for his constituents.” Even during his first term they were asking “Is it too early to vote for a new Representative?”

Herald Review: LETTER: An open letter to Rep. Juan Ciscomani

  • Why are you lying about indefensible cost-cutting, which exacerbates the problems you claim to care about?

  • Musk’s list of “savings” so far has been completely debunked. And on top of real (higher) costs of his making, we can also expect having to pay for more taxpayer-funded lawsuits, as well.

  • Why cover-up for an administration that lies, hides and manipulates important government data? All of this ensures that we fly blind and in the wrong direction. We may never know how bad the damage is until it affects us personally. At least a third of those being fired across all government agencies now are reportedly veterans, so it is getting personal fast, and will get worse.

  • Rep. Ciscomani: what are you doing about it?
