Refuses to Support Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker

ALBANY - NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement in response to Blake Gendebien’s comments today in which he admitted to voting for Kamala Harris and Kathy Hochul, but would not commit to supporting Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker:

“Blake Gendebien is completely out of touch with hardworking North Country families. Although he tried to avoid telling the truth, he admitted to voting for Kamala Harris for President and Kathy Hochul for Governor, the failed leaders directly responsible for America’s border crisis - which President Trump is now cleaning up - and New York’s cost-of-living crisis.

“And now, with Democrats in freefall following their disgraceful behavior at President Trump’s Joint Congressional Address, Gendebien refuses to say whether he will vote for Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker.

This is just another Far Left Democrat trying to lie to convince North Country voters otherwise. North Country voters are smart and will send a Republican to Congress to help pass President Trump’s agenda to Make America Great Again.”
