From: The Dungeness Crab FestivalIt's happening..... CrabFest 2023
We are back with the full Festival!
22nd Annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival
October 6-8, 2023
Port Angeles Waterfront
Volunteer for CrabFest and help us take care of the thousands of people who visit our community from all over the world. CrabFest is the largest Crab Festival in the country. We sell over 8 TONS of fresh whole Dungeness Crab each year, caught from our local waters. Did you know this is where the name "Dungeness Crab" originated? And we were even a question on Jeopardy! Join in a great group of folks who love the Olympic Peninsula and share our joy with crabby lovers everywhere.
As a volunteer, you will receive a spiffy Crab Crew t-shirt, and if you work two or more 4 hour shifts during the weekend, you’ll receive a certificate for a 1/2 crab dinner! And the thanks of the community!
We also have a couple Coordinator positions open. Email Kelly if you are interested in helping with Merchandise, Volunteer or Vendor load in/out.
Volunteer Training - Thursday of festival week, 6:00pm in the big tent. Please plan to attend if possible. Training will include new info, updates and how to use the credit card machines if that is your position. This is where any changes to the program will be discussed.
What would I do if I volunteered? Whatever position you take, our job is to make sure visitors have a great time visiting the Festival and Port Angeles. Please take a look at our website and read the program and learn about the food, music, vendors, and other activities.
Visitor Services All Positions: If someone looks like they are confused, ask if there is anything you can do for them. Smile, we are there to have a good time! Any questions from the press, direct to Kelly, Operations Manager, or Scott, Executive Director. We will provide our program for you to review at the Thursday 6:00pm meeting in the big tent and it is distributed in the Peninsula Daily News and on our website.
