Crazy 5k Event Details

About the race:
Come for the run and stay for the festival!

This run will feature road running with lots of crazy turns. This event happens rain (rain…not thunder, lighting, hail or flash flooding aka severe weather) or shine. Please note that if this event is rescheduled due to severe weather all race entries will be honored. All runners receive free entry into the Crazy Water Festival. Prices are as follows: In an effort to simplify registration fees, there is now only one fee for all participants. The first 200 participants registered will receive a shirt.
-- $35.00 for all participants paying online through race day.
-- $40.00 for all participants that sign up on the day of the race.
-- Free 5 & Under (No Shirt)

Join us to train for the Crazy 5K on Oct 14th. We encourage you to grab a friend or gather a team and register together. The 6-week program starts Monday, Sept 4th. We will have weekly community runs to keep you on track, motivated and social. Sign up for the Crazy Training Program for free when you register for the Crazy 5K.

Top 3 Male/Female for the below age groups will be awarded a medal.

Crazy good Texas music has been a long-standing tradition of the Crazy Water Festival.

Gates open at 5:30 pm. No reserved seating.

Autumn Ragland will kick off the show at 7 pm, followed by concert headliner William Clark Green

Ticket Information:
May 1 – July 15 tickets are $22.50 each
July 16 – October 11 tickets are $30 each
$10 parking pass
Children 2 and under are free

-- Food trucks will be available for food and beverage purchases. We’ll have our traditional Crazy Beer crafted by Rickhouse Brewing of Mineral Wells for sale as well.

All Cars & Trucks Welcome / Registration Fee — $25

1st & 2nd Place Prizes in All Categories – To be awarded at 1:30 p.m.

Cars and Trucks will be on display during the Festival for spectators to enjoy.

Crazy Children’s Area

The Crazy Children’s Area is hosted by and benefits the Mineral Wells United Methodist Church Youth Group.

Children’s Area Rules:
Purchase of a play area bracelet allows in and out access all day for $15
Play area has inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses and games for all ages.
Parental supervision is required.

Crazy Water Festival – Crazy Crawl
Saturday, October 14, 2023
6:00 – 9:00 pm

After the Crazy Water Festival is over Crawl downtown Mineral Wells for some special cocktails and eats! Event participants will visit amazing restaurants and venues for special beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol) and/or food items. A purchased ticket is required for each participant for this event. Must be 21+ to participate.

Tickets are $35 each. Tickets come with a wristband to get you into each location. Participating businesses and restaurants will feature their own menu or drink items made with Crazy Water.

Crazy Street Art

Leadership Mineral Wells is excited to be hosting the Crazy Street Art this year. Show your love for our 100 + year old building, our talented artists of the area, and our community by sponsoring an artist square. Inspired local artists will create non-commercial, one-of-a-kind, family-oriented artworks on the festival streets. These works are available in a variety of sizes and each sponsor will be recognized with a sponsor sign attached near the artwork.

Artwork sizes are available at various sponsor prices:

4’X4’ $100
6’X6’ $150
8’X8’ $250

Participating artists will receive an official Crazy Water Festival t-shirt, free entry into the festival, and access to the festival’s VIP area.

Artist Guidelines
-- Artists must be at least 10 years of age
-- Artist must be ready to create at 7:30 am at the Festival.
-- Participation is on a volunteer basis only
-- Artwork must be appropriate for all viewers – family-friendly
-- No writing of anything is allowed outside your square. The Women’s Club will provide and install an information sign stating your name and square sponsor name
-- The entire artist space should be utilized
-- Artists must complete their assigned square by the closing of the festival
Non-toxic soft pastels only. Use of any other material is forbidden (i.e. oil pastels, acrylic, gouache, markers, etc.

Crazy Water Hotel Activities

Friday, Oct. 13 – Rooftop watch party for the Crazy Car Cruz from 5:30 until 7:30 with cash bar.

Saturday Oct. 14 – Rooftop yoga – Free and open to the public from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. and Guided hotel tours – 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
