DEADWOOD, S.D. (11/22/2023) - According to statistics released today by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwood’s overall gaming revenues were down 1.36 percent over October of 2022, with slot machine handle decreasing by 1.46 percent, when compared to October of 2022. The table game handle decreased by 1.94 percent when compared to 2022 October’s table game handle. Deadwood’s sports wagering handle was up 18.50 percent when compared to October 2022. Deadwood gaming operators rewarded players with $1,57,376 in "free-play" for the month of October, leaving taxable adjusted gross revenues of $12,314,017 for October of 2023.
"With October’s slight revenue decrease, our YTD increase is still up 2.22 percent,” said Mike Rodman, executive director of the Deadwood Gaming Association. “Sports wagering’s YTD increase is up 24.21%. Deadwood sports book operators broke a million dollar month for sports wagers in October.”
Deadwood concerts are in full swing with Williams and Ree on November 25th and Grand Funk Railroad on November 30th.
