MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Following Judge Susan Crawford’s victory in March 12th’s Wisconsin Supreme Court debate, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:

“On March 12th’s debate made clear that Judge Crawford is ready to be a Justice, and that Brad Schimel might soon be eligible for a job with an anti-abortion activist group. Tonight, Schimel repeatedly asserted that Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban was valid. He insisted that he didn’t know whether the 2020 Supreme Court decision rejecting Donald Trump’s attempt to overthrow the election was correctly decided. And when asked about Elon Musk’s $10 million investment to put him on the court, he dodged.

“On March 12th's, Wisconsin voters saw one candidate who made crystal clear that she will serve the public and rule based on the law and the Constitution, and one candidate who would fail Wisconsin women and serve the whims of Trump, Musk, and the extreme right. And that’s why Wisconsin will elect Judge Crawford on April 1.”
