Schools and Libraries
March 6, 2023
From: Dennis Public LibraryWelcome to our monthly library newsletter. Each month we will share our upcoming programs, library happenings, and featured new items!
CLAMS Libraries new catalog is now live.
We have moved to the Aspen Discovery platform to enhance and enrich your experience.
Aspen makes searching for books and resources easier, pulling all library resources together in one search. Patrons can create and share lists of materials and online content or peruse curated lists created by their local library staff. Readers can easily find a title in every format available, read book reviews, and even rate items and see how others rated them. If a book or other item is unavailable, a “While you wait” feature offers suggestions for similar titles. These are examples of the many features in Aspen.

March Art Display
Throughout the Month of March
Doug Wagner is a painter who specializes in abstract acrylic paintings. The artist, who was
diagnosed with early-onset atypical Alzheimer's disease in 2019—paints on horizontal surfaces,
enabling him to view and drip paint on the canvas from as many angles as possible. This
extreme form of abstraction—combined with his changing skillsets with movement, language,
memory, and spatial perception—bring a sense of emotion and immediacy to his work.
This exhibit aims to generate positive discussion about the critical role art and community play
in navigating aging, life changes, and dementia.
Jessica Coen is a homeschooling mother of three. She created Happy Hoops as a way to handle the stress of daily life. Through this form of art she has found a simple way of relaxing and creative therapy.
Her art can be found on Facebok under Happy Hoops. Please inquire on Facebook for purchases.
Jessee's art will be on display in our display cabinet throughout the month of February.
