Creative 360 and Parker Lane Studios have teamed up to host the 3rd Annual Emerging Artists Exhibition for Great Lakes Bay visual artists between the ages of 16 and 54. This juried show opens on Friday, October 20th in the 5501 Jefferson Avenue Gallery.

“This is the third year we are hosting this exhibition and the quality of work each year is impressive,” said Creative 360’s Curator and Program Director, Colleen Reed. “There is so much artistic talent in our region and we are excited to create a space for new artists to share their work and to grow.”

The 2023 program opens with dinner and panel discussion with working artists who will share the journey that led them to turn their artistic passions into thriving professions.

“Parker Lane Studios and Creative 360 are focused on finding ways to educate, empower, and encourage newer artists,” remarked Parker Lane owner, and artist, Dacia Parker. “A new component for 2023 is our panel discussion with working artists.”

The panel discussion will feature three artists working in the area of Color, Materials, and Finishes. Ashley Nieman is the Motorcycle Design Manager of Color, Materials, and Finishes for Harley Davidson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Lindsey Denatale is the Global Design Manager CMF for Chevy trucks and SUVs at GM’s headquarters in Warren, Michigan. Kelly Slank teaches at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit and owns her own design consultant business. She has worked with industry leaders such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Nike.

The exhibition features Michigan artists ages 16 to 54 and will be on display in the Jefferson Avenue Gallery October 20th through November 19th. The dinner and panel discussion takes place Friday, October 20th from 5:30 - 7 pm with the opening reception following until 8:30 pm. Reservations are required for the dinner and discussion.
