SHADOW

Australia’s internationally acclaimed Back to Back Theatre, a professional theatre company with an ensemble of actors with disabilities at its core, has produced its debut feature-length film, SHADOW. Following the hour long film, audiences are invited to join the creators of the film for a talk-back including cast member / co-author Simon Laherty, director / co-author Bruce Gladwin, and executive producer Tim Stitz.

“Negotiating for the Center – At Times Beyond the Fringe”

Bret Stephens is a well-known op-ed columnist for The New York Times and a senior contributor to NBC News. He spent 16 years at The Wall Street Journal, most notably writing "Global View," for which he was awarded the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary. An accomplished speaker, audiences value Mr. Stephens' timely insights and also his "breath of fresh air" delivery.

Join us as we celebrate the opening of "Women’s Rights are Human Rights," on view in the Walsh Gallery from January 20 – April 6, 2023. This exhibition features posters created by both men and women worldwide to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role that all citizens play in protecting and promoting human rights while challenging gender inequality and stereotypes, advancing reproductive and sexual rights, protecting women and girls against brutality, and promoting women’s empowerment, education, and participation in society. Light refreshments will be served.
