White Elephant 5K and 1M

The “White Elephant 5K and 1 mile” race happens this Saturday, December 10th on the Fayetteville Square. Join us for this tacky, jolly, holiday themed run/walk that you and your family or friends will not want to miss! Registration is open online and includes a long-sleeved shirt, finisher medal, and more!

Speak-Up for Underwood Park

Your invited to stop by Holcomb Elementary School on Saturday December 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to share your visions and thoughts about plausible design concepts for Underwood Community Park. Both park staff and consultants will be on hand to answer any questions. The voices of our community are instrumental in achieving a successful and enjoyable park. We look forward to connecting with many members of our great community!

2022 Highlights

Fayetteville Parks, Natural Resources, and Cultural Affairs would like to thank you for being an active and involved community as we take a moment to reflect over the year and highlight some successful community events, current large-scale planning projects, playground uplifts, art installations, and new sport and cultural art programming. The Parks department strives to continually provide our community with creative programming, finding new ways to inspire fun, build a sense of community, and promote health and wellness in safe avenues.

A Shout-Out to Volunteers!

The Parks department would also like to take a moment to say "Thank You" to our community as we reach record high volunteer hours. A shout-out goes to our many park activists and volunteers who contribute time and energy into our trail maintenance, trash clean-ups, volunteer coaching, race event volunteers, urban forestry volunteers, Adopt- A-Trail volunteers, and many more who made up the 103,648 hours of volunteer service that make Fayetteville impactful and beautiful!
