East Brunswick, New Jersey – February marks National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAM), a critical time to raise awareness about teen dating violence and promote healthy, respectful relationships.
Each year, organizations, educators, and advocates nationwide come together to empower young people with the knowledge and tools to prevent dating abuse.
Teen dating violence affects millions of young people and can include physical, emotional, and digital abuse. This year we emphasize the importance of education, communication, and support in fostering safe relationships.
Throughout the month, schools, community groups, and organizations are hosting events, social media campaigns, and educational programs to engage teens, parents, and educators in conversations about dating violence prevention.
Everyone is encouraged to wear orange on to show solidarity and support for survivors.
Together, we can create a culture of respect and safety for all young people.
