From: Fire On The Mountain FestivalWe'll be celebrating the legacy of the Grateful Dead February 2-4, 2024 at the 5th Annual Fire on the Mountain Festival! The weekend will feature the music of the Jerry Garcia Band and the Grateful Dead as performed by artist all over the country; each with their own take on arguably the most enduring catalog of American rock and roll music. The lineup features bands hailing from Philly, NJ, CA and Boston with veteran musicians who have shared the stage with Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Dark Star Orchestra and more!

3:00 - 6:00 pm : Pure Jerry: Widowmaker (Free, all ages)
PURE JERRY has been touring the East Coast for almost a dozen years, bringing tasty jams and inspirational takes on the best songs from the Garcia catalogue. Now, added to the setlists, is music by Bob Dylan, The Band, The Allman Brothers, Motown and more! The band includes musicians with combined lifetimes of Grateful Dead experience and pedigree, and lets the music do the talking.
9:00 pm - 12:30 am : Angeloper: Widowmaker (21+ only with valid ID)
Angeloper is a collaboration between two of the most high energy musicians the region has to offer! Dennis Angelo (Arukah, New Motif) on guitar and Kevin Roper (Rose Alley, Pardon Me Doug) on keys, have joined forces to create Angeloper, along with Neil Carroll (Rose Alley, Kevin Roper Project) on drums and Justin Maxwell (Rose Alley, Maine Dead Project) on bass who will help drive the ship on a face melting journey. You might want to bring an extra pair of socks because the first pair will be knocked right off!
9:00 pm - 12:30 am : Playing dead: King Pine Room (21+ only with valid ID)
Playing Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot!, and Uncle John's Band. Their marathon sets feature music and jams from the entire Grateful Dead catalog. Playing Dead faithfully recreates the experience of a live Grateful Dead concert. The music of The Grateful Dead is a complex stew of different styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass and more. Their improvisational style and large repertoire guaranteed that every musical performance would be unique. Every Playing Dead show is equally unique featuring different set lists each night and exciting improvisational jams.

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm : Mystic Dead: Widowmaker (Free for all ages)
In 2018 a group of musicians got together for a once a month Dead night at the Captain Daniel Packer inn in Mystic,CT. It turned out to be a seriously good time that translated to more shows, more fun and Mystic Dead was born. Deep dives into all things Grateful Dead coupled by the freedom to remain true to their own creative individuality has been and will always be the mantra of all 6 members of Mystic Dead.
9:00 pm - 12:30 am : Rainbow Full Of Sound: Widowmaker (21+ only with valid ID)
Appropriately, RFoS began as a one-off experiment in 2012 when a gang of Dead Heads decided to play the entire 1980 Radio City Music Hall run. It was so much fun that it took on a life of its own, with a rotating cast that keeps it fresh. The one consistent link is Waynard, who fell in with one of the oldest Dead-oriented bands, the former Zen Tricksters of Long Island, and they toured for some time as Jam Stampede.
9:00 pm - 12:30 am : Melvin Seals & JGB : Saturday Night in the King Pine Room (21+ only with valid ID)
Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most reveredfor his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become "Jam Band Music". From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up. Melvin and JGB bring an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops tothe table. John Kadlecik on lead guitar and vocal duties, John-Paul McLean's savory bass,Jeremy Hoenig on the drumsand, of course, a heapin' helpin' of the wizard's magic onHammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Along with Lady Chi & Darlene Coleman on back-upvocals, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenges genreb.

The Reckoning Crew brings together stalwart members of the Boston Grateful Dead scene to present an authentic emulation of the Dead’s iconic acoustic performances captured on the “Reckoning” album. Not limited to just this period of the Dead’s career, The Reckoning Crew, featuring David Rubin & Ian Brenckle from Diamond Blues, Gordon Fromm from Skull and Roses, Mike Verge from Torn and Frayed and Ben DeUrso of Citizens’ Dead, has a deep love for all of the material of the storied songbook, and showcases that along with a fierce focus on improvisation & communication for a real good time!
