Fontana, CA - The City of Fontana invites the youth to be a part of the 2023 Dr. Charles Koehler Veterans Day Writing and Art Contest. The top three winners of each contest will receive recognition at this year’s event which will take place on Saturday, November 11 at Miller Park Amphitheater, (17004 Arrow Blvd.) at 11 a.m.
Writing Contest Requirements:
- Must be a Fontana resident
- Ages 11-18 years
- Submit an essay or poem of 250 words or less expressing “What Veterans Day means to me.”
Top three writing winners will receive a gift card, read their entry at the Veterans Day Celebration, be featured in the Fontana Herald Newspaper, and recognition at a City Council meeting.
Art Contest Requirements:
- Must be a Fontana resident
- Ages 10 years and under
- Submit a drawing of “What a veteran means to me.”
The top three art winners will receive a gift card, artwork featured in the event program and the Fontana Herald Newspaper, and receive recognition at a City Council meeting.
