The Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous is a mountain man rendezvous in celebration of the Fur Trade Rendezvous Era that occurred in the Rocky Mountains between 1825-1840. It is one of the largest mountain man gatherings in the nation.

Thursday, August 31st
“Mandatory” Trader’s Meeting: 7 p.m. at Bandstand
“Traders this is your chance to ask any questions you have or bring up any matters others need to know” (Roll call will be taken)
Knife and Hawk (Traders only) Blanket Throw: 3:30pm, bring a $5-$15 prize, pre 1840

Friday, September 1st
Flag Ceremony: 8 a.m. at Flagpole
Native American Dancers: 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Bandstand
Children’s Candy Cannon: Noon at the Bandstand
Fun Shoot: 1 p.m. at Shooting Range
Golden Spike Pipes and Drums: 2 p.m. March through fort
Hawk & Knife Blanket Throw: 3:30 pm- bring a $5-$15 prize, pre 1840 era item
Dog Soldier Meeting: 5 p.m. at Dog Soldier Tent
Flag Retrieval: 6 p.m. at Flagpole

Saturday, September 2nd
Flag Ceremony: 8 a.m. at Flagpole
Combined Shoot: 8 a.m. at Shooting Range
Hawk & Knife: Competition 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Dutch Oven cook off:
8 am - 9 am - Registration-pick up rules
9 am - 12 noon - cooking time
12 noon (sharp)- Judging (southeast of the flagpole)
“Must be in period correct clothing, period correct set up to compete, no modern utensils or cooking stoves”.
Archery Competition: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Children’s Games: 10 a.m. east of Bandstand
(primitive clothing required)
All “Registered” Participants Shoot for Rifle: 10:30a.m. at Shooting Range.
Flint Lock only Shoot: 12:30 p.m. shooting range
Golden Spike Pipes and Drums: 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4p.m. March through the Fort.
Women Only along with Smoothbore & Pistol Shoot:
1:30 p.m. at Shooting Range

Doc’s 16th annual Adult Candy Cannon: 1 p.m. east of the Bandstand, all invited
