FRANKFORT, KY - Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed Andy Belcher of Madisonville as a member of the Murray State University Board of Regents to serve for a term expiring Dec. 12, 2030.
- Andy Belcher is an educational administrator for the Hopkins County Board of Education. He replaces Virginia Gray, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Porter Peeples, Cathy Hinko and Mitchel “Mike” Denham to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors. The Governor has also appointed Samuel Tarter, Robb Adams and William Jones to the Board.
- Porter Peeples of Lexington is president of the Urban League of Lexington. He represents the interests of the homeless population as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring Oct. 29, 2028.
- Cathy Hinko of Louisville is a retired housing advocate. She represents the interests of non-profit housing organizations and will serve for a term expiring Oct. 29, 2028.
- Mike Denham of Maysville is a banker at the Bank of Maysville. He represents auditing professionals as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring Oct. 29, 2028.
- Samuel Tarter of Russell Springs works in the real estate and home building industry and represents the home construction industry as a member of the Board. He replaces Gale Lively, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 11, 2028.
- Robb Adams is the mayor of Carrollton and represents the interests of local government as a member of the Board. He replaces Beverly Chester-Burton, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 11, 2028.
- William Jones of Paducah is the former executive vice president of the U.S. Bank National Association and represents the interests of financial lending institutions as a member of the Board. He replaces Stephen Brunson, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 11, 2028.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Shlomo Litvin, Raymond Burse, James Glenn, Frank Smith, and Toni Stringer to the Commission on Human Rights. Additionally, he has appointed Rowena Holloway to the Commission.
- Shlomo Litvin of Lexington is the director of Chabad of the Bluegrass. He represents the state at large and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2027.
- Raymond Burse of Prospect is a retired attorney. He represents the state at large and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2026.
- James Glenn of Owensboro is a retired educator. He represents the 2nd Supreme Court District and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2027.
- Frank Smith of Louisville is the vice president of Simmons College of Kentucky. He represents the 4th Supreme Court District and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2026.
- Toni Stringer of Louisville is a retired judge. She represents the state at large and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 12, 2026.
- Rowena Holloway of Willisburg is a retired policy analyst and represents the 3rd Supreme Court District. She replaces Lisa Chaney, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 17, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Anne Murry of Lexington to the Advisory Council on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Anne Murry is a dentist and represents citizens at large as a member of the Council. She replaces Scottie Ellis, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Nov. 14, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Gregory Meredith to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Additionally, he has appointed Ryan Griffith to the Board.
- Gregory Meredith of Bowling Green is a civil engineer for the city of Bowling Green. He represents professional engineers as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
- Ryan Griffith of Lexington is a research engineer for the University of Kentucky and represents professional engineers as a member of the Board. He replaces Joseph Pyles, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Jan. 1, 2028.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Scott Kirkpatrick and Patrick Henderson to the Center for Pollution Prevention Board of Directors to serve for terms expiring July 14, 2027. The Governor has also appointed Rachel Nally to the Board.
- Scott Kirkpatrick of Lexington is an environmental manager for the Verso Corporation and represents environmental engineers as a member of the Board.
- Patrick Henderson of Irvington is a farmer and represents agricultural producers as a member of the Board.
- Rachel Nally of Louisville is the director of environment and sustainability for Heaven Hill Brands and represents industrial facilities as a member of the Board. She replaces David Pedigo, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 19, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Philip Travis of Owensboro to the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance to serve for a term expiring Dec. 19, 2028.
- Philip Travis is a healthcare administrator for Wellington Parc Health Systems and represents the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities as a member of the Council. He replaces John Muller, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring Dec. 19, 2028.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Ronald Poole to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
- Ronald Poole of Central City is a pharmacist at Poole’s Pharmacy Care and represents licensed pharmacists as a member of the Board. He replaces John Fuller, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the term expiring Jan. 1, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Van Breeding, Dianne Adams, Richard Brown and James Johnson to the 47th Judicial Circuit and District Nominating Commission to serve for terms expiring Dec. 19, 2028.
- Dr. Van Breeding of Whitesburg is a physician at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. He replaces Christopher Bates, whose term has expired.
- Dianne Adams of Isom is retired. She replaces Kevin Eldridge, whose term has expired.
- Richard Brown of Ermine is retired. He replaces Paul Greer, whose term has expired.
- James Johnson of Neon is an entrepreneur. He replaces Bennett Combs, whose term has expired.
