From: Indiana Governor Eric J Holcomb

INDIANAPOLIS - Governor Mike Braun hosted a fireside chat with constituents in Terre Haute to listen to the impact that skyrocketing property taxes have had on Hoosiers. Listening and sharing ideas with Hoosiers around the state has always been a priority for Governor Braun. Due to the overwhelming support that Hoosiers have expressed for property tax relief, Governor Braun met with constituents to discuss these concerns in detail.

"Thank you to Daniel and Michelle for meeting with me today in Terre Haute to discuss the important issue of property tax relief. These Hoosiers have echoed the same concerns about property taxes that I have heard around the state and my administration will continue to urge the Indiana General Assembly to pass my property tax plan," said Gov. Braun. "I encourage all Hoosiers who are concerned about their skyrocketing property taxes to contact their state legislators and let them know where you stand."

Governor Braun's Freedom and Opportunity Agenda prioritizes Hoosier taxpayers and puts an emphasis on three aspects of property tax relief: cut property taxes, cap future increases, and reform the system.
