Gov. Reynolds Honored as 2024 Public Official of the Year

Gov. Kim Reynolds was recently named a 2024 Public Official of the Year by Governing Magazine. For a quarter century, the publication has honored a group of bipartisan public servants across the country who have made a positive, lasting impact on the people of their cities, counties, or states through dedication and difference-making efforts. Gov. Reynolds is the only governor to be named to this year’s list.  

The full list of honorees includes:

- Kim Reynolds, Iowa Governor
- Patricia Rucker, West Virginia State Senator
- David Crowley, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Executive
- G.T. Bynum, Tulsa, Oklahoma Mayor
- Philip Huang, Dallas County, Texas, Health and Human Services Director
- Rob Lloyd, Seattle Chief Technology Officer

“I want to thank Governing Magazine for honoring me alongside five other public officials making impactful change in their communities,” Gov. Reynolds said. “Thank you to the Iowa State Legislature for working together and supporting purposeful state government to secure wins for Iowans.”
