From: New Hampshire Governor Kelly AyotteCONCORD, N.H. – On Mar 6th, Governor Kelly Ayotte presented her priorities for all of New Hampshire before state business leaders at the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce State of the State luncheon.
“New Hampshire is the Beast of the Northeast, and we intend to stay that way. What we’ve created over these last number of years together is special, and all of New Hampshire is benefitting from it,” said Governor Ayotte. “This success does not come without new challenges, like increasing our housing supply, or keeping a best-in-class education system, or keeping up with demand for our services, but I believe that together, we can meet these challenges head on.”
The Governor highlighted key priorities outlined in her proposed budget, including:
- Historic investments in our community college system, workforce credential programs, and career and technical education
- More funding for public schools than ever before
- Over $1 billion to fund services for citizens with disabilities and ensure there continues to be no waitlist
- Consolidating the permitting process to cut red tape and empower state agencies to deliver permit determinations in 60 days.
