COLUMBUS, OH -- On Nov 29th, in preparation for his second term, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the following staff changes in his office and within his administration:

• Michael Hall, Governor DeWine’s current Chief of Staff, has announced that he will be taking a new position outside of state government.
• Stephanie McCloud, current Administrator/CEO of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), will assume the role of Chief of Staff to the Governor.
• John Logue will be appointed as the new Administrator/CEO of Ohio BWC. Logue currently serves as Ohio BWC’s Chief of Strategic Direction and previously served as interim Administrator/CEO.
• Michael Murry, Governor DeWine’s current Deputy Chief of Staff, will now be the Chief Operating Officer in the Governor’s Office.
• LeeAnne Cornyn, Governor DeWine’s current Cabinet Director, will assume the role of Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor.

The changes will be effective on January 1, 2023.

McCloud has been the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation since January of 2019. In her career in state government, she served as legal counsel to both former Governor George Voinovich and the Ohio Department of Transportation. She later joined the office of former Attorney General Jim Petro, first as senior deputy attorney general before advancing to chief counsel. In November 2020, McCloud served as the Director of the Ohio Department of Health during the height of the COVID pandemic. She continued as director for 10 months until her return to BWC as administrator in August 2021. McCloud earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio University and a law degree from the Capital University Law School.

Logue is a veteran of the Ohio workers' compensation system, with a background that includes more than 25 years of experience in various client service and leadership roles. Logue began his career as an employer services specialist at BWC before serving in a variety of roles with Ohio managed care organizations and third-party administration organizations. In September 2021, Logue also took over leadership for the Division of Safety & Hygiene, and the offices of Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Business Transformation and the creation of the Center of Excellence. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from John Carroll University, a master's in business administration from Cleveland State University, and earned an Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America, known today as The Institutes.

Murry has worked with Governor DeWine in various capacities since 2004, when he joined DeWine's United States Senate staff. Prior to serving as the Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff, he served as Deputy Director of Policy and Public Affairs at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Murry received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and his law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Cornyn currently serves as Cabinet Director and Interim Director of the Governor’s Office of Children’s Initiatives, focused on coordinating efforts between agencies to improve outcomes in maternal and child health, early childhood education, and foster care. She also previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Cornyn holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
