From: Montana Governor Greg GianforteHELENA, MT – Governor Greg Gianforte on Feb 13th, announced Paul Green, director of the Montana Department of Commerce, is leaving the role to spend more time with his family closer to home.
“I am grateful to Paul for stepping up to lead the charge at the Montana Department of Commerce,” Gov. Gianforte said. “Working with Paul and his exceptional team, we made great progress recruiting more job creating businesses to Montana and making our state the best place to live, work, raise a family, and start a business. His leadership and commitment to the department’s mission will be missed. I wish Paul great success in his future endeavors.”
Appointed by Governor Gianforte as director in January 2024, Green previously served in the Montana House of Representatives, representing House District 41. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Green also served as executive director of Two Rivers Economic Development Authority and as a leader with the Montana Economic Developers Association.
Mandy Rambo, deputy director at the Montana Department of Commerce, will serve as the agency’s acting director, effective immediately.
