Baton Rouge, LA - On June 14, 2024, on Flag Day, Governor Jeff Landry signed an Executive Order that recognizes the policies and procedures that apply to all flags flown over the State Capitol and public departments and institutions in Louisiana. The Executive Order prescribes procedures for the flying of the U.S. flag, the Louisiana flag, and the POW/MIA flag.
“The United States flag is a sign of freedom and hope across our Nation and across the world. Louisiana will always honor our flags with the utmost respect. There is no better time than now, on Flag Day, to highlight our state’s admiration and pride in the American and Louisiana flags,” said Governor Jeff Landry.
