Governor Patrick Morrisey Appoints Anne Charnock to Fill Vacancy in 17th Senate District

CHARLESTON, WV - Governor Patrick Morrisey appoints Anne Charnock to fill the vacancy in SD-17. Charnock replaces Eric Nelson, who resigned from the seat after being named Secretary of Revenue.

“Anne is a lifelong Republican and has been a dedicated public servant in Kanawha County,” said Governor Morrisey. “As a former judge and an accomplished attorney, she will be a great advocate for her constituents.”

Anne Charnock is a former judge on the Municipal Court of Charleston, serving for over 12 years. She is a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association and has led an impressive career as an attorney, serving as a hearing examiner for multiple state and local agencies, a child advocate attorney, assistant counsel for the WV Republican Party, and as the owner of Charnock & Charnock in Charleston.
