From: Colorado Governor Jared PolisDENVER - On September 13, 2024, Governor Polis appointed Michael T. Kotlarczyk to the 20th Judicial District Court. This appointment fills a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Bruce D. Langer and is effective October 12, 2024.
Mr. Kotlarczyk is a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Public Officials Unit, as well as an Assistant Solicitor General, at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, positions he has held since 2022 and 2024, respectively. His practice consists of trial and appellate litigation on behalf of the State of Colorado. Previously, Mr. Kotlarczyk was an Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office (2019-2022); Attorney at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP (2015-2019); Attorney at Reilly Pozner LLP (2010-2015); Law Clerk for Judge David Ebel, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit (2009-2010); and Law Clerk for Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (2008-2009). Mr. Kotlarczyk earned his B.A. from Drake University in 2004 and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008.
