Governor Polis Appoints Monica O. Haenselman to the Boulder County Court in the 20th Judicial District

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Monica O. Haenselman to the Boulder County Court in the 20th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the passing of the Honorable Kristy Martinez and is effective immediately. Governor Polis sends his condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the Honorable Kristy Martinez.

Ms. Haenselman is a District Court Magistrate in the 20th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2015. Her docket consists primarily of criminal, family, and juvenile matters. Previously, Ms. Haenselman was a Family Court Facilitator in the 20th Judicial District (2007-2015); Associate Attorney at LaBuda and Associates (2005-2007); Paraprofessional at Summit Middle School (2004-2005); and Associate Attorney at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Chicago (1991-1993). Ms. Haenselman earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1985 and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991.
