COLORADO SPRINGS - On May 10, 2024, Governor Polis kicked off his bill-signing tour in Colorado Springs in Pueblo.

The Governor started the tour with his first post-session signing for HB24-1304 Minimum Parking Requirements, sponsored by Representatives Stephanie Vigil and Steven Woodrow, and Senators Kevin Priola, and Nick Hinrichsen.

“This legislation will eliminate excessive parking requirements that unnecessarily increase housing costs for renters and buyers. People should be able to choose how much parking they want, and not be forced to pay for parking they don’t want. I appreciate the work of the bill sponsors, and am proud to sign this legislation to help save Coloradans money on housing,” said Governor Jared Polis.

Later today, the Governor will be signing bills in Pueblo and Denver that strengthen Colorado’s workforce with new apprenticeship opportunities and more.

- SB24-020 Alcohol Beverage Delivery & Takeout, sponsored by Representatives William Lindstedt and Rose Pugliese, and Senators Dylan Roberts and Nick Hinrichsen.

- HB24-1030 Railroad Safety Requirements, sponsored by Representatives Javier Mabrey and Tisha Mauro, and Senators Lisa Cutter and Tony Exum.

- HB24-1439 Financial Incentives Expand Apprenticeship Programs, sponsored by Representatives Jenny Willford and Ron Weinberg, and Senators James Coleman and Mark Baisley.

- SB24-143 Credential Quality Apprenticeship Classification, sponsored by Representatives Leslie Herod and Eliza Hamrick, and Senators James Coleman and Rachel Zenzinger.
