John Waters, of Lakeland, to serve as Judge on the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court
Waters is the Owner of Waters Law, P.A. Previously, he was an Associate at Lopez and Humphries, P.A. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University and his juris doctor from the University of Florida. Waters fills the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Durden.
James Morgan III, of Marathon, to serve as Judge on the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court
Morgan has served as a County Court Judge for Monroe County since 2021. Previously, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and juris doctor from the University of Florida. Morgan fills the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Garcia.
