TALLAHASSEE, FL - On January 6, 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Joseph Jacquot and Charles Kesler to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees.  

Joseph Jacquot
Jacquot is a Shareholder of Gunster Law Firm and an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and previously served as the General Counsel for the Executive Office of the Governor and the Chief Deputy Attorney General of the State of Florida. Jacquot earned his bachelor’s degree in political and social thought from the University of Virginia and his juris doctor from the University of Florida.

Charles Kesler, Ph.D. 
Kesler is the Dengler-Dykema Distinguished Professor of Government at Claremont-McKenna College and Editor of The Claremont Review of Books. Kesler is the author of many books, including most recently The Crisis of the Two Constitutions. Kesler earned his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctorate degree in government from Harvard University.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
